Going Private...

Hello Everyone!

With the birth of our little Brayden, we decided it was time to go private. I know that going private can be annoying for people but we hope that you will still read our blog.

We have a few good friends who use a "pre-blog" address that can be used in google reader or wherever to show that we have posted something. All you have to do is click on the link and sign in. So our pre-blog address will stay the same lifeofthetaylors.blogspot.com and our new private blogger is lifeofthetaylors2.blogspot.com. Nothing too crazy!

So if you want to be our blogging friends, leave us your email and we will send you an invite! Thanks!

Brayden Spencer Taylor!

He's here! After a long awaited 9 months are little guy has finally made it! Brayden Spencer Taylor was born June 10, 2010 at 5:45pm. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

The story (If interested)
I was having contractions early Thursday morning around 3 AM. I wasn't sure how consistent they were but knew I was having them often enough I should probably start timing them. They were about 7 minutes apart. So I decided to shower and get somewhat ready for the day at about 5:30am. After the shower my contractions were getting more intense and really close together. When I actually timed them, they were about 2 minutes apart! It was go time!

We got in the car and headed to the hospital but as my luck would have it, the contractions completely stopped! Story of my life! We walked around the parking garage hoping something would happen but nothing. We debated on going home or going in to see if they would just send us home anyway. We figured we were here we might as well just ask. We explained how the morning went and they agreed to take us and watch me for the next hour and than decide from there. I REALLY didn't want to go home. I just wanted to have the baby! Luckily for us after an hour things were progressing and they agreed to let me stay! I was dilated to a 6 when I decided to get the Epidural, which was absolutely AMAZING! I seriously think the 4 stabs of needles that I had to get for the IV (twice in my arm, once in my hand and once to draw blood again) was ten times worse than the epidural!

After that it was rest up and wait to push. By 5 o'clock we were ready to push. I started to push with the nurse and after a few pushes it was time to call the doctor. Dr Laine came and seriously 4 contractions later Brayden was here! It was super fast and I hadn't planned on it happening so fast. Everyone talked about pushing for hours and hours but I pushed through 4 contractions and here he was! It was so nice!

This is Brayden only seconds old! Not sure if what he thinks of his new home.

Our new family of three!

Headed Home...

We are so excited to have him here, it's been such a blast getting to know his personality and adorableness over the week. He loves to sleep with his hands out of his blanket and straight up by his head. He loves to pee all over daddy and go through at least 2-3 outfits each day. He loves sleeping and eating and every once in a while, if you're lucky, you can catch a great big grin! It is seriously adorable. I'm determined to catch at least one on my camera sometime!

Now we are home and adjusting to our new life. It's been an adventure to say the least but we are learning...slowly but surely!
